Environmental change at the Neck interactive workshop
Picture The Neck. Do you remember fairy penguins waddling onto shore at dusk? Or muttonbirds sweeping in and turning the sky black at sunset? Perhaps it’s the pungent smell of the burrows that hits you first. How do these memories make you feel? Have they changed over time? What might it become?

Join us for a special showcase bringing together community voices, art, and research from a three-year-long PhD project exploring how environmental change at The Neck is reshaping our connection with fairy penguins and muttonbirds.
Featuring visual art created during recent workshops, alongside spatial models, and personal reflections, this event weaves together stories of connection, change, and care for a beloved place.
Come and experience how community knowledge, creativity, and science can come together to imagine the future of The Neck and the species that call it home.
